The Clarksville Police Department would like to welcome Frankie Tucker as our Part Time Bike Patrol Officer. Some of Patrolman Tucker’s duties will consist of providing a police presence in the city’s trail areas and special events. Calvin Green and Liza Holt Arrest
On Wednesday 04/26/2017 the Clarksville Police Department was requested to assist Arkansas Probation and Parole for a home visit at Parolee Calvin Green’s residence. During the home visit a bag of suspected methamphetamine was observed in plain view. Mr. Green and his wife Liza Holt were detained and a warrant was obtained to search the house. Located while searching the residence was 28 grams of methamphetamine, a stolen 9mm handgun, marijuana and a marijuana smoking pipe. Calvin Green was charged with Possession of Meth Greater Than 10 Grams but Less than 200 Grams (Class B Felony), Possession of Firearm by Certain Persons (Class B Felony), Theft By Receiving (Firearm) (Class D Felony), Possession of Controlled Schedule VI Less Than 4 Ounces and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor) and Liza Holt was charged with Possession of Meth Greater Than 10 Grams but Less than 200 Grams (Class B Felony), Theft By Receiving (Firearm) (Class D Felony), Possession of Controlled Schedule VI Less Than 4 Ounces and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Class A Misdemeanor).
The Community Pro-Tecktor!
The Clarksville Police Department places new community information kiosk at the Marvin Vinson Center. This new kiosk system is designed to be law enforcement’s own personal news network for issuing real-time community alerts, notifications and warnings to the general public for assistance in locating missing people, identifying people of interest, and issuing positive community PSA messages from the Chief. The kiosk is currently loaded with upcoming events, useful public service announcements including the top ten felony warrants list and the Johnson County level 3 and 4 sex offenders notifications. The kiosk runs twenty four hours a day seven days a week and will automatically dedicate a large portion of the viewing screen to any Amber Alerts that are issued in this area. The Clarksville Police Department is proud to be the first agency in Arkansas to deploy a Community Pro-Tektor!
Scotty Hennagan Drug Arrest
On 01/13/2017 with the help of the Arkansas Probation and Parole the Clarksville Police Department took Scotty Lee Hennagan into custody on a Felony Warrant for Absconding. During the search of Mr. Hennagan it was discovered that he was in the possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and “brass knuckles". Mr. Hennagan was transported to the Johnson County Detention where he is being held on a $25,000 dollar cash or commercial bond. Mr. Hennagan was issued a court date of 03/03/2017 in the Circuit Court of Johnson County.
10/25/2016 Drug Take Back
This morning the Clarksville Police Department turned over 164.25 pounds of prescription pills to the Drug Enforcement Agency. The pills came from our drug drop box located in front of the Police Department. 164.25 pounds of pills collected in 5 months that will be properly destroyed and out of the hands of children and others they are not intended for!
