10/25/2016 Drug Take Back

This morning the Clarksville Police Department turned over 164.25 pounds of prescription pills to the Drug Enforcement Agency. The pills came from our drug drop box located in front of the Police Department. 164.25 pounds of pills collected in 5 months that will be properly destroyed and out of the hands of children and others they are not intended for!

Filmore Street Search Warrant

On September 24th 2016 Clarksville Police Department arrested 27 year old Jonathan Smith and 21 year old Zephaniah Handley at an apartment in the 200 block of Filmore Street. Officers went to the apartment to make contact with Jonathan Smith in an attempt to arrest him on a Felony Bench Warrant for Delivery of a Schedule III Controlled Substance (Suboxone) Class C Felony and Delivery of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance (Xanax) Class D Felony. During the arrest Officers observed several Felony Drug Paraphernalia items in plain sight. Zephaniah Handley was also staying at the apartment and both subjects was taken into custody and transported to the Johnson County Detention Center. The apartment was secured and a search warrant was written. During the execution of the search warrant Officers located a large amount of Controlled Substances and Drug Paraphernalia including methamphetamine, needles, scales and several types of assorted pills.  Long story short if you sell drugs in Clarksville it will not go unnoticed and you will be arrested.

Bean Street Search Warrant

On Thursday July 7th 2016 the Clarksville Police Department executed a search warrant at an address on east Bean Street. The residence was occupied by Mr. Dustin Sexton and Mrs. Jenna Jones and has been the focus of a long investigation into the selling of illegal narcotics in Clarksville. The search yielded several suspected narcotics including Methamphetamine, LSD, Ecstasy, Marijuana and narcotic using paraphilia. Mr. Dustin Sexton and Mrs. Jenna Jones were transported to the Johnson County Detention Center and went before 5th Judicial District Circuit Judge William "Bill" Pearson for a bond hearing on 07/08/2016. Mr. Dustin Sexton was issued a $10,000 dollar cash or professional bond and Mrs. Jenna Jones received a $2500 dollar cash or professional bond. The Clarksville Police Department works hard daily to combat illegal drugs in our community.

Charles Watson Arrest

On 09/16/2016 The Clarksville Police Department received a report of a child being sexually molested. The victim is a four year old male and is related to the suspect Mr. Charles Allan Watson II (30 year old male). Mr. Watson was read his Statement of Rights and an interview was conducted. Mr. Watson confirmed his involvement in the incident and was placed into custody and transported to the Johnson County Detention Center. Mr. Watson was charged with 3 Count of Rape and Sexually Grooming a Child and had a Bond Hearing on 09/19/2016 in front of Circuit Court Judge William Pearson and was set a bond of $100,000 dollars cash or commercial and a court date of 11/04/2016.

Exxon Tiger Mart Robbery

On 06/15/2016 at about 1:15 A.M. the Exxon Tiger Mart located at 2745 West Main Street Clarksville AR 72830 was robbed at gunpoint.

The suspect is described as a white male 5’10 to 6’00 wearing a camouflage boonie type hat, a green and black camo shirt with yellow writing on the left chest.

The suspect left the store with an undisclosed amount of money.
